02 / THE PROJECT
Inheritance is complicated.
Daughter is a long-term collaborative music and arts initiative produced through CAKE, centering women artists. Through original music, performance, conversation, and visual storytelling, the project explores daughterhood as a relationship to family, community, place, history, culture, and change.
03 / FIRST PUBLIC CHAPTER
The first public chapter of Daughter brings women artists together for live performance, conversation,
and the beginning of a longer collaborative process. Produced in partnership with Rhythm & Rise Live, our November 14 broadcast introduces the project while featuring each artist's individual voice.
